About Inconel nickel-chromium superalloys

Inconel is a family of nickel-chromium-iron superalloys. They keep strength at temperatures where steels and most stainless grades have failed and resist oxidation and hot corrosion. Inconel 718 is the most widely used grade for aerospace turbine disks and high-temperature fasteners; Inconel 625 is the choice when chloride and reducing-acid corrosion both matter.
