Seal Type

Seal operating mode. 'static' for gasket-style seals with no relative motion; 'dynamic' for reciprocating or oscillating applications. Affects groove depth and squeeze percentage. If omitted, defaults to 'static'.

Application

Seal application geometry. 'piston' = O-ring in a groove on the piston OD sealing against the bore; 'rod' = O-ring in a groove in the housing ID sealing against the shaft; 'face' = axial face seal (no stretch calculation). If omitted, defaults to 'rod'.

Pressure Psi

System operating pressure in psi. Used to determine whether a backup ring is needed (threshold ~1500 psi). Typical range: 0-6000 psi. If omitted, defaults to 0 (no pressure check).

Housing Bore In

Housing bore diameter in inches. Required for piston seal groove OD calculation. Typical range: 0.5-40 in. If omitted, groove OD is not calculated for piston seals.

Shaft Od In

Shaft outer diameter in inches. Required for rod seal groove ID calculation. Typical range: 0.25-30 in. If omitted, groove ID is not calculated for rod seals.
